Steering CommitteeThe Illinois River Country Nature Trail steering committee is composed of 17 members representing the 8 counties along the Illinois River. Together they bring ecological, cultural, and economic development expertise through their experience as refuge managers and nature enthusiasts to economic and tourism development coordinators. These individuals' role will be to provide guidance on the site nomination process including review of nomination forms, fill in gaps along the river with possibly overlooked sites, review the assessment reports and to help guide the Peoria CVB in their final decision on which sites to include on the Illinois River Country Nature Trail.
