Directions: From the intersection of I 74 and Exit 91/University Street, go west on I 74 for 9.5 miles to Exit 82/Kickapoo-Edwards Road. Turn south (left) onto Kickapoo-Edwards Road and continue 2.2 miles to the stop sign and intersection with SR 8. Continue 0.7 miles down the road to the park entrance on the left.

Description: This unique 2,000-acre state park features native Illinois animals such as bison, Elk, wolves, Black Bear, Cougar, River Otter, waterfowl and raptors, as well as various songbirds, butterfl ies and other native species. Stop by the Park's Visitor Center and see their Animal Nursery and Museum. View the Park from several spotting scopes. Join the Naturalists at various interpretive programs. Ride the Park's train through restored Prairie Habitat, or hike 10 miles of trail. Visit the Pioneer Farmstead Area. Eat at the Prairie View Café, Train Depot or Sunday Brunch. You can talk with the catering department about planning individual banquets and events. The Park also offers several unique lodging facilities, including the Cabin on the Hill, Cottages by the Lake, Prairie Stables and Santa Fe Train Cabooses.
