Kansas Governor Brownback convened a task force to develop an ecotourism strategy for the state, and he asked that Ted Eubanks of Fermata assist the task force in their deliberations. Ultimately the task force asked Ted to write the strategy, incorporating the ideas that were generated during the task force deliberations.
We finished the ecotourism strategy in early 2013, and then returned to the interpretive strategies for the state’s byways. Fermata recommended that the Kansas byways be used as the platform for implementing the Kansas ecotourism strategy as well. With both strategies completed, the next step will be implementing this broad-based sustainable tourism plan for Kansas.
